Updates as of 4-6-2020

Based on updates from the State of MO, and Osage County, Classic Buildings is making changes to support our local governments in the fight against Covid 19. County, and state restrictions allow us to continue Operations, so we are truly blessed to be able to continue serving our customers.

We are taking additional precautions, and have added the following updates for our team:

  1. Employees are practicing social distancing. IE; We have picnic tables outside for lunch breaks etc.
  2. We are following the (under 10 persons) in one area rule.
  3. Sales teams are working from home, and by appointment for customers.
  4. We offer Social Distancing Site EVALUATIONS. In other words our team is available to COME to YOUR home to measure the grade of where you want to put your building, make professional recommendations, and help you with your project needs at safe distances.
  5. Employees that are uncomfortable working during this time, have the option to take off, and are guaranteed a job when they come back. If they don’t qualify under covid Leave act, Classic Buildings is paying $100 per week to aid in Groceries.

We are continuing our effort of INTENTIONAL LEADERSHIP as spelled out below (in our original statement) and are encouraging our team to do what it takes to reduce spread, and more importantly to DO HEALTHY ACTIVITIES, (Eat right, take vitamins, get plenty of rest, and get outside) as ultimately that is what drives our immune system.
Additionally we are teaming up with local food banks and are donating $100 for every building sold during the month of April.

In these uncertain times, we want to make sure that you know our doors are open, and that we are committed to serving you during this time. As of the time of this posting, Classic Buildings has made the decision to continue to operate under our normal operating hours as long as local, state, and federal government allow.

Our commitment to our employees, our customers and our community remains steadfast. Here are the measures we are taking to ensure the wellbeing and safety of all affected.

Safety for Families, Customers, and Community

Due to the fact that we are not in high traffic areas and operate with primarily one person at each store, our stores will be remaining open and production will continue as usual. To exercise caution and to be courteous of all people we come in contact with, we are asking all employees to use precautions as recommended by the CDC. All employees will be provided and will be using hand sanitizer on a regular basis.

Our team will conduct daily cleanings of all surfaces in all populated spaces with bleach and/or other bacteria and virus killing products. Our team will refrain from shaking hands with each other and our customers. And lastly, our team has access to high quality screen share technology and can conduct business without being face to face if that is your preference.

We are a family on a mission, so we will continue to protect every family.

The elderly seem to be most susceptible to COVID-19, so any employee above 65 years old or with any pre-existing health condition is allowed to have a time of leave, if they choose. We are prepared to extend a hand to additional needs as they come up as we are able.

If employees or family members of employees have symptoms of the virus, we are requiring them to stay home. Those symptoms include:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
  • New confusion or inability to arouse
  • Bluish lips or face

If employees need to be with their kids, we are going to accommodate that as much as possible.

Intentional Leadership

We are staying focused and looking for opportunities in this adversity. We recommend each team member get lots of rest, eat healthy, and take vitamins to build your immune system. It’s a commonsense thing to do, but sadly our society doesn’t do it, so we as a company will become advocates of it.

Do fun things together. The Bible tells us “laughter doth good like medicine.”

We will continue to share truths with our team. When you see posts from Classic Buildings. It’s intentional communication regarding things that are true to hopefully shape all of our lives. We will be updating the public on current status of work conditions, etc. We believe we are here for such a time as this, and like Queen Esther did we are willing to step up and out to be bold and courageous. (Esther 4:14)

In conclusion, I want to assure you that we will get through this! We absolutely trust God to take care of our every need in all of this. And my friends, this is not a blind trust. This is because I have seen him do it so many times and also because God’s word tells us that he will provide our every need, and it is impossible for God to lie!! We encourage all our employees and customers to look to God, take a minute and read Hebrews 11. It will bless you.

I also want to remind us that we become what we think and speak about. This statement isn’t just from overhyped motivational speakers. The Bible tells us this.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Proverbs 18:21 KJV

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”
Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV)

“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;”
Deuteronomy 30:19 NKJV

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
II Timothy 1:7 NKJV

In conclusion, we encourage all employees, and customers to use this time to grow their knowledge, so we can all get better as a society. There are many ways to do this, and here is one extremely good piece of education I am leaving you with.

Please take time to watch this, and together let’s educate ourselves and our families so we can become stronger through this.

Additionally, we are equipped with Zoom Online meetings where we can still meet face-to-face but it is ONLINE. Here we can discuss the details of your project, quote your project, give you a virtual tour of the inside of a building, and via Google maps discuss the site of your project. We also have a seamless electronic system for placing your order. With all of these things in place, we expect business to resume as normal as possible under our current conditions.

You can request virtual services and our employees will also be offering that to you. There is a link on our website to request a virtual meeting or you can also request it right here as well.
