Preserving memories ranks among life’s highest priorities. The relationships we build during our brief time on Earth far surpass the value of material possessions. Vickie and Earl understand this profound truth, which is why they chose to acquire a building from Classic Buildings.

Their journey with Classic Buildings began in July 2023, marking the culmination of a decade-long dream. Their aim was not merely to acquire a shed but to find a sanctuary for cherished memories. During a recent interview, Vickie passionately expressed, ‘I hate calling it a shed. It’s not just a shed; it’s so much more than that.’

The poignant story unfolds earlier in the spring when Vickie’s mother passed away, leaving behind a 1920s Ford Model A lovingly restored by her father decades ago. Before her mother’s passing, joyrides in this vintage gem, reaching a modest 45 miles per hour, were a cherished tradition.

Countless family memories are intertwined with this car, from its initial restoration to the cherished rides given to Vickie’s mother. This car is more than a vehicle; it holds immeasurable sentimental value, transcending its intrinsic worth. Consequently, the couple sought a special place to safeguard it, turning to Classic Buildings for a solution.

Their journey began with a visit to the Linn sales office, armed with a picture they had cherished for a decade. This image represented precisely what they envisioned – the ideal building to honor this unique family car and its associated memories. Their quest was not just for practical storage but for a structure they could take pride in.

Following productive discussions with the sales and production team, a mutually satisfying order was established, including the incorporation of a distinctive color that held personal significance.

Once the order was confirmed, the dedicated team at Classic Buildings embarked on crafting a 14×22 building with 9” walls, 8-inch overhangs, a steep roof, and a lean-to.

Transporting a 14-foot tall building posed logistical challenges, demanding meticulous planning and execution. Keith, the skilled driver, masterfully navigated the obstacles to place the building precisely on the concrete piers installed weeks prior. Vickie and Earl marveled at his expertise and precision. A few days later, another team seamlessly added the lean-to to the structure.

What deeply impressed Earl and Vickie throughout this journey was the team’s unwavering attention to detail and their unwavering integrity. From start to finish, they were kept informed about every step in the process. The Classic Buildings team’s reliability was a rare find in today’s business landscape.

This remarkable structure stands as a testament to the partnership between Classic Buildings and its customers, destined to be a source of pride for years to come.
