The whole experience of this purchase has been very good. From your Sales Representative, to the confirming call about the order, the delivery set up and then delivery. The building was delivered a week ahead of schedule which helped me as I was going on vacation.

We selected Classic Building for a yard storage building. We are very pleased with a company and their product. From the beginning, the sales people listened to exactly what we were looking for in a building. Once the order was placed we were contacted by a design and production team member, Classic Building guided us through the order and confirmation process. They answered any questions that I had.

We had a structure design change , Classic building accommodated and worked with us on the changes too. When our building was finished, we were contact by a transportation team person to schedule the delivery.

We love the building and was surprised when only one person showed up to put the building in place. Ivan Miller did a great job getting the building over the fence and in place. He arrived by 7:30 AM and was done by 10:30 AM. For the first building he has ever put over a fence, he told us after the fact, we were shocked as it looked like he had done it many times before. He was very professional in the way he handled the whole set up.

This testimonial is used with my permission. This is a rather long account of my experience with Classic Buildings, but there are a lot of good things to talk about.

My wife and I were driving to the Family Center in Rolla in Sept 2005 to purchase a new string trimmer. As we drove in to the parking lot, we saw several outdoor buildings on display and almost simultaneously said “Wow!” A red barn caught our eye so we stopped and took a look. First, the finish work on the outside was very impressive. It was obvious the trim was painted before it was put on the shed. That provided a nice and clean appearance. Then we walked inside. The walls were framed 16 inch on center. Several of the other sheds we looked at were 24. This particular shed was a 12×16 lofted barn. The loft inside was a full 4×8; plenty of room for storage. I had been pricing outdoor buildings for most of the summer and most were just way out of our reach but we decided to go inside and get a price. Another Wow. The barn was right around $2,400 plus a paint cost and tax. Delivery was FREE.

We mulled it over for a few days and decided that we wanted to purchase a building from Classic Buildings, but decided on a 12×20 lofted barn. We went to Family Center to make the purchase because YOU CAN USE A CREDIT CARD THROUGH THE FAMILY CENTER! We had some choices to make like windows, paint color, shingle colors and things like that.

The spot we wanted to put the building an extreme slope; from the highest corner to the lowest, there was a drop of 42′. I called Classic Buildings to see if this was too much and instead of just providing an answer on the phone, they came out to my property to look at the proposed location I had marked off. Turns out that 42′ were too much; they don’t recommend blocking over a 1.5 feet. My solution was to build a retaining wall in the low corner to raise the level. I built the wall using 6×6x8 rough cut oak, secured it with rebar, pickets and landscape spikes and then filled it with rock. Now the difference was only 14′. When we purchased the building, we were told that there was about a 5 week wait because they were so busy. That’s a good thing I thought. I’d rather wait for the product I want instead of something inferior. It’s finally delivery day. Talk about being excited. The building came on a “magic trailer”. All the delivery man had to do was back it in close and then he could maneuver the trailer with a remote control. That trailer could do everything but talk! Long story short, it took Joe about an hour to complete the entire job to include the blocking. Now it’s not just blocked on the four corners. If I counted right, he blocked it up in about 10 places. It looks just as I had envisioned it! Joe made sure everything was just right before he left.

Bottom line is this: I highly recommend Classic Buildings of Salem! They were professional from the start and stayed in contact with me throughout the waiting period. These are superb buildings at a very fair price. Check the other places out but you’ll probably find Classic Building’s quality and prices unbeatable.
